Booking & Payment Policy
How booking works at MK Rides, what you pay for, and how cancellations and refunds are handled.
How to Book
Bookings are made with MK Rides directly. You can call us, message us on WhatsApp, or send an enquiry using the form on this website. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking.
- Choose your vehicle and your trip start and end date and time.
- Call or WhatsApp MK Rides, or send an enquiry through the form, to check availability.
- MK Rides verifies your details and confirms whether the vehicle is available.
- Your booking is confirmed only when MK Rides tells you so.
- Pay the amount MK Rides tells you at confirmation, as explained under Payments below.
- Show your original documents at pickup. Verification is completed before the rental begins.
Details and Documents Needed
When you book, we ask for your name, mobile number, preferred vehicle, and your trip start and end date and time.
Every authorised rider must present these originals before the vehicle is released:
- A valid driving licence appropriate for the rented vehicle.
- Any one of these identity documents: Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, Passport or PAN card.
MK Rides may decline to release a vehicle if documents are missing, invalid, or cannot be verified. A driving licence is mandatory for the rider only; a pillion (passenger) does not need to hold a driving licence. The rider’s driving licence is kept by MK Rides during the rental and is handed back to the rider when the vehicle is returned. See Required Documents and Verification in the Terms & Conditions.
Availability and Confirmation
- All bike and scooter bookings are subject to vehicle availability.
- A booking is confirmed only after MK Rides has verified the required details and communicated confirmation to you.
- MK Rides may cancel a booking if the selected vehicle becomes unavailable or other legitimate operational circumstances prevent fulfilment.
- If MK Rides cancels a confirmed booking because the vehicle is unavailable, a full refund of the amount paid for that booking will be initiated.

Rental Charges
Full-day and half-day rates for each vehicle are shown on the vehicle cards on our home page. Please note:
Displayed prices are valid Monday to Thursday only, unless otherwise expressly stated. Rates for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, peak periods, or other special dates may differ. Confirm the price for your dates before you book.
- Distance: 150 km running per day. Extra kilometres are charged at ₹10/km.
- Fuel: fuel is non-refundable.
- Helmets: provided free for both rider and pillion. Other safety gear (gloves, knee guards, riding jacket, etc.) is charged separately.
- Area: permit for Uttarakhand state only. If you are caught outside Uttarakhand, you are responsible for legal action and the fine (it may be ₹10,000 or more).
- Timings: pickup is at 8:00 AM. Full-day drop is by 8:00 PM and half-day drop by 2:00 PM.
- Extensions: approved extensions are charged at the standard rental rates for the extended time.

Payments
The total amount payable, the payment methods MK Rides accepts, and any advance payment or security deposit are communicated by MK Rides when your booking is confirmed. Any applicable deposit, additional charge, penalty, or deduction must be communicated in line with the rental terms. The security deposit is refundable after the vehicle is returned and inspected, subject to documented deductions for damage, missing accessories and other amounts permitted under the agreement. Any balance will be refunded to the customer.
Before you pay, ask: what the total is and what it includes, whether any deposit applies, and when and how any refund or deposit is returned. Keep your payment confirmation or transaction reference.

Additional Charges That May Apply
Depending on how the rental goes, these may be charged in addition to the rental amount, in line with the Terms & Conditions:
- Late-return penalties for delays over 30 minutes without approval (Late Return Policy).
- Extra kilometres beyond 150 km per day, at ₹10/km.
- Repair or replacement charges for helmet damage beyond normal wear and tear (Helmet Damage Policy).
- Repair costs where the vehicle is damaged through accident, misuse, negligence or breach of the rental terms (Damage, Theft and Breakdown Policy).
- Traffic challans, fines and penalties from your riding during the rental (Traffic Rules and Legal Compliance).
- Charges if the drop-off location is changed after pickup with MK Rides’ approval (Late Return Policy).
Cancellations and Refunds
The full amount paid is charged as a cancellation fee, subject to applicable law and any mandatory refund rights.
20% of the amount paid is deducted as a cancellation fee and the remaining 80% is refunded.
The full amount paid for the affected booking is refunded.
Eligible refunds will generally be initiated through the original payment method and are expected to reflect in your bank account within 7–10 business days after refund processing. Actual credit times may vary depending on the payment provider or bank.
